Dr. Kenya Johns is the current mayor and lifelong resident of the City of Beaver Falls, PA. Kenya is a graduate of Slippery Rock University where she received a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and Spanish. Kenya then pursued her Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA. Kenya received her doctorate in Counseling Education and Supervision from Duquesne University. She is currently certified as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, National Certified Counselor, and Approved Clinical Supervisor.
Kenya is an active and committed community leader who currently sits on several boards, including The Women's Center of Beaver County, Beaver County Chamber, Genesis Collective, The Pittsburgh Foodbank, and Junior Achievement. She actively volunteers in several capacities and is committed to creating a culture that includes all voices and communities.
