Bill Petulla is running for office in order to keep families safe and bring proven leadership to Harrisburg.
After graduating from Washburn University School of Law, Bill turned down offers at big law firms, instead starting his career as a parental advocate representing families facing the loss of their children.
He then represented abused and neglected children across Allegheny County at KidsVoice. For the last 15 years, Bill has served in the District Attorney’s office fighting for survivors of domestic violence and prosecuting violent crimes in Allegheny County.
Before serving as the Chief Trial Deputy, Bill was an active member of the United Steelworkers Union and will always advocate for good-paying union jobs.
Currently, Bill leads a large team of prosecutors as they work to ensure justice is properly served in the face of violent crime.
Keeping Our Community Safe
As a career prosecutor handling Allegheny County’s most violent crimes, Bill understands the importance of increasing resources for law enforcement and first responders as well as passing common-sense legislation to crack down on illegal possession and use of deadly weapons. It’s time to put partisan politics aside to pass public safety measures to ensure our schools, communities, and families are safe.
Investing in Local Infrastructure and Supporting Unions
For too long partisan politicians have under-funded local infrastructure repairs, costing taxpayers millions in the long term. Bill believes that it’s past time to invest in Western Pennsylvania’s infrastructure, from our bridges to our public transportation systems, and ensure connected communities. He seeks to repair and rebuild right here at home.
Additionally, as a former member of the United Steelworkers, Bill will always fight to protect the right to organize. Workers deserve a fair wage that can support a family, access to healthcare, and safe work environments. He will fight to ensure American workers get their fair share. Bill supports Project Labor Agreements (PLAs) and believes that our tax dollars should be used to support Pennsylvanian workers.
