Anna was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at birth. At the time, life expectancy for such a diagnosis was in the teens. As science and medicine have evolved, Anna has done more than overcome adversity and survive; she has thrived as a leader advocating for change.

Anna Payne is now an experienced leader in her community. In 2019, Anna was first elected to the Middletown Township Board of Supervisors and she currently serves as Chair of the Board. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Rare Disease Council and founder of the Bucks County Cystic Fibrosis Alliance non-profit, where she has been raising money and sharing her personal story to advocate for members of the Cystic Fibrosis and rare disease community for years.

In 2021, she was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Her community rallied around her as she began her treatment. She has spent the years since being a fierce advocate for healthcare needs and supporting cancer patients. She is no stranger to taking on big fights, and she wants to use that strong attitude to give back to her community.

Healthcare, Workers, and Rights

Anna believes that everyone deserves accessible, affordable healthcare. With her history of overcoming health issues, she knows the importance of healthcare and wants to do what she can to keep her community healthy and protected. She will staunchly defend reproductive rights.

Anna Payne will fight to lower the cost of living for working families. Moreover, she will protect workers’ right to collectively bargain and support unions.

Payne will do everything she can to stand up for the fundamental freedoms of all Pennsylvanians.
